"Secrets" debuted at No. 98 on the Billboard Hot 100 and later re-entered at No. 83, reaching its peak at No. 21. It is their fourth top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Second single released from OneRepublic's second studio album Waking Up. It was released as the first single in Germany and Austria owing to its presence on the soundtrack of Til Schweiger's new film Zweiohrküken. The movie is the sequel to the film Keinohrhasen, for which "Apologize" was the film soundtrack. The song rocketed up the German and Austrian airplay charts. The song was released in the United States iTunes Store on November 3, 2009.The song was due for a UK release on April 5 but was pushed to June 1.

The song was prominently used and featured in the soundtrack of the 2010 film The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and was also used to launch the "Big Pony" fragrance line for Ralph Lauren. An instrumental version of "Secrets" also featured prominently in the Facetime portion of Apple's iPhone 4 video introduction in 2010. The song has been heavily utilized in network promotional advertising for various series and several other film trailers in the United States.

Got no Reason. Got no Shame. 

All of us has secrets that doesn't want to be revealed. All of us do have secrets for good. for bad. Sometimes only to have something to keep in. If promises are meant to be broken. Thus, secrets are also meant to revealed. Coz there are no secrets that would be kept for long long long...time. Truth will also be beside it.I have many secrets. I'll tell one. One time I didn't brush my teeth after eating for a week. Coz I was so tired back then. And my mom told me that why is it the toothpaste on toothbrush became hard. I was like 'it stoned?' lol. My toothbrush really became stoned because it was like that for a week. And I just said 'it wasnt mine. Jr put it in there even though I already toothbrush. Stupid jr!' lol. See. I even blamed my younger brother for it. Naughty me. Mom scolded him. :P  Fine. Yuck? Eww? Don't bother. Now, I'm brushing my teeth daily coz I don't want to have tooth ache. That's ouchie. Anyway,this song is really something.

But it's not really the secrets that really a secret because it's a secret!
